The first thing I noticed about Deitrich is that she lives what she teaches.. She eats well, drinks plenty of water, and exercises while getting plenty of rest. Being fit is her Passion and sharing that Passion comes in second to that.
The first time I met her at a business meeting she arrived with a cooler in hand that contained small snack bags of cubed chicken. Hmm, now that seemed extreme to me, yet she explained she was preparing for a Fitness Show and she by no means expected her clients to follow a regimen quite so strict. After all most her clients were not going to be on stage in a suit that fit in a #10 envelope with gals one half her age. Competing is one of her personal joys.
Deitrich has a “live, love and laugh” philosophy, making personal training empowering experience for her clients. Her idea of success is to enable clients to take charge of their health by teaching them safe exercise technique and practical nutrition to get the results they want.
As many of her clients are busy people she designs programs to get the maximum results in a minimum amount of time, breaking the myth that you have to spend hours in the gym. I like the fact that she customizes each program to fit the each person’s lifestyle. No cookie cutter attitude here. She also has gone out of her way to find a facility that will cater to an open membership policy, allowing her clients to maintain their membership at a gym close to their home or workplace, again its is about the client’s convenience.
What I found very interesting is that Deitrich comes from a Healthcare background and for that reason has the patience and empathy that enables her to be effective when working with specific chronic diseases while still being highly skilled to train the elite athlete.
When visiting her gym I was amazed at the command she has with the state of the art equipment as well as kettle balls, Bosu balance system, and Stability Balls.
The big joke around the gym is, “The guys forget I am a gal, just because I pick up lotsa heavy things and eat more food than most of them.”
