The Tucson housing market usually out performs other parts of the country during this season and this year isno exception.
The median sales price only moved down about 8% from February to March. This is in direct contrast to national reports that show a continued downward spiral in values of more than 10%.
More good news, number of homes sold are up 35% over February and pending contracts are up 18% over February.
Over 79% of homes sold in March were under $ 250,000. Over 62 % of the homes sold in March were under $200,000.
Number of homes sold are really up in the first time home buyer price range. Maybe the $8,000 tax credit is partially to thank.
I have several clients taking advantage of the governments offer and it gives me a warm and fuzzy
feeling inside to know that they are going to love doing their taxes next year.
Uncle Sam, could you please hand me that $8000? Absolutely.
