If you haven’t had a chance to read our Gay Pride 2016 Recap, then I recommend jumping over there really fast and seeing what you missed. If you were able to attend, check it out anyway, you might knock a few memories loose, I know my mind is still foggy after such a crazy weekend 😉 Don’t worry, I’ll wait right here 🙂
Back already, you’re a fast reader! With such an incredible weekend in the rear-view mirror, it’s time to put the final punctuation at the end of our epic Pride narrative. This Saturday, we get to remember all of our friends and loved ones who have paved our path but don’t get to celebrate our success.
AIDSWALK is a yearly fundraiser to empower the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation to keep doing its fantastic work in our community. They depend on the contributions from walkers and volunteers to fund the incredible life-saving services they offer. Make your contribution by waking up early Saturday morning and heading Downtown to the Joel D. Valdez Main Library to join us for AIDSWALK 2016!
It’s extremely unfortunate that decades after this devastating disease first hit we still don’t have a cure or vaccine. Thanks to the countless hours and volunteers we do have effective treatments but we look forward to the day when this walk is no longer needed.
