Hey friends! If you know me, you know I’m all about sharing the best of Tucson—especially when it comes to fun, adventure, and supporting our amazing LGBTQ+ community. So, I couldn’t be more excited to kick off our GayTucson Spotlight series with a business that’s near and dear to my heart: Tucson Trolley Tours!

Yes, this is another project I’m lucky enough to be a part of (along with Darren and our fantastic co-owner Tom Heath), but more than that, it’s something I truly believe our LGBTQ+ community will love. Whether you’re looking for a fun weekend activity, a unique way to show off Tucson to out-of-town guests, or just an excuse to hop on a trolley with a bunch of great people, Tucson Trolley Tours is the ride you didn’t know you needed. Let’s talk about why this tour is a must-do for our fabulous community!

The Ultimate Group Adventure – Gay-Friendly & Always a Good Time

One of the best things about Tucson Trolley Tours is that it’s a perfect group outing. Whether you’re planning a birthday bash, a pre-brunch excursion, or just a fun weekend adventure with your chosen family, this tour is built for laughter, connection, and a little bit of fabulousness.

We take you through Tucson’s most iconic and eclectic neighborhoods, including the historic districts, the artsy Warehouse District, and vibrant downtown—all while sharing fun stories, little-known facts, and some LGBTQ+ history along the way. Ever wondered where some of the city’s best LGBTQ+ bars, restaurants, and hidden gems are? We’ve got you covered. Oh, and did I mention there’s plenty of opportunity for Instagram-worthy moments? Because let’s be real, if you don’t post about it, did it even happen?

A Safe & Inclusive Space for Everyone

Tucson has an incredibly welcoming and progressive LGBTQ+ scene, and we’ve made sure Tucson Trolley Tours reflects that. This isn’t just another run-of-the-mill city tour—it’s a space where everyone, regardless of identity or orientation, can feel comfortable, celebrated, and completely themselves.

As a gay-owned business, we know how important it is to create experiences where our community feels seen and valued. Whether you’re new to Tucson or a longtime local, the trolley tour is a great way to connect with others, support a local LGBTQ+-owned business, and enjoy an experience that’s made with love, inclusivity, and just the right amount of camp (a trolley ride through Tucson is already giving Priscilla, Queen of the Desert vibes).

Make It a Date, a Party, or a Staycation

One of my favorite things about Tucson Trolley Tours is how versatile it is. If you’re looking for a unique date idea, imagine hopping on board with your special someone, cruising through the city, and discovering places you never knew existed. It’s fun, casual, and full of moments to bond over—plus, you can always keep the fun going with dinner and drinks after!

For those of you hosting out-of-town friends, this is hands-down one of the best ways to show off our city. Skip the stress of planning a full itinerary and let us handle the entertainment. And if you’re a local who thinks you already know Tucson? Trust me, you’ll be surprised by how much you learn. I’ve lived here forever, and even I keep discovering new things!
