Why Marriage Matters Arizona, an advocacy program founded by the ACLU of Arizona, will publicy debut it’s newest initiative “Latinos for Marriage.” During the program, Why Marriage Matters Arizona will declare support from the Latino community, featuring events in Phoenix and Tucson hosting civil rights legend Dolores Huerta among other local Latino leaders.
Beginning at 1 PM in Phoenix, key leaders of the Latino community will host a press conference to share their stories about why marriage equality truly matters. You can join the press conference held in the offices of Valle del Sol: 3807 N. 7th Street.
Concluding at 7 PM in Tucson, join a community conversation entitled, “Familia es Familia: Latino Support for the Freedom to Marry.” The discussion will be held in the Kiva Room at Southside Presbyterian Church: 317 W. 23rd Street.
