Leslie Jordan is one of my favorite actors on TV! I love him on “Will & Grace” and he is one of the many reasons I keep coming back to that amazing show. I almost flipped when I learned that I, along with the entire Tucson community, will have an opportunity to see him live on Saturday. That’s right, Leslie Jordan, the famous actor, spearheads the 4th Annual Rev-It-Up Fundraiser!
What Is The Rev-It-Up Fundraiser?
The Rev-It-Up Fundraiser, now in it’s fourth incarnation, is a yearly benefit show for our incredibly talented friends at Reveille Men’s Chorus. It’s a glamorous event, with celebrity entertainment and an awards recognition. This year, the winners are:
- Joel Meister Community Impact Award: Jonathan Rothschild
- Reveille Volunteer Award: Michael Rogers
- Reveille Leadership Award: Shawn Cullen
Who is Leslie Jordan?
For those who don’t know, the Emmy Award winning Leslie Jordan is one of the funniest men on TV! He combines dry wit with hilarious facial expressions for his own brand of entertainment. He’s been featured on many of your favorite TV shows, including:
We will be treated to his one man show, Exposed! It’s a hilarious take on his life and how he became the phenom that he is. For fans like me, this is an incredible chance-of-a-lifetime to meet a comedy icon!
What is Reveille Men’s Chorus?
Reveille Men’s Chorus have been spreading joy and hope through song for over 20 years. In that time, they have combined incredible creativity with a love of music that, over the years, has shown Tucson some of it’s best performances. This night is both a fundraiser to better assist them in their mission and a celebration of the amazing work they do in our community.
