It’s true, the University of Arizona is an LGBT Friendly University. At least according to BestColleges.com. Actually, all of the Arizona colleges ranked even the Dirty Devils. Okay okay, we may not like them much but we are glad they ranked as well. Rivalry or no we all deserve to have our trusted institutions and places of learning looking out for us.
The University of Arizona’s LGBT resource center opened in 2007 and today boasts 10 LGBTQ student organizations. In addition, they have effected positive change on campus by advocating for inclusive policies and procedures.
What does an LGBT friendly university have? Do you want a Queer studies certificate or major? They have it, along with a mental health program, gender-neutral bathrooms, housing assistance, and resources should you need them. Additionally, they have a transgender resource center and scholarship, and much much more.
