I’m not about to wade into this contentious election other than to note how happy I am that this horse-and-pony show is heading for the stables. Your vote is profoundly personal. And I would never attempt to influence you in any way, I would simply like to take this time to actually focus on what’s important (can’t count on the media to do that anymore) We need to remember that LGBT and Muslims can work together.
This election will end, one way or another, and we will all wake up tomorrow and have to work together to heal the deep, deep divisions that have come to light in the past year and a half. In the spirit of coming together, I found this wonderful video discussing how the LGBT community and the Muslim community have many common bonds and can find common ground from which to build a working relationship. Repeat it with me, “LGBT and Muslim People are Stronger Together.”
This website is welcoming of both Hillary and Trump supporters, as well as backers of the Green and Libertarian parties. I am a pretty open-minded guy and I am tolerant of most things, but the one thing that really matters is to vote and make yourself heard. It is the pinnacle of citizenship and the hallmark of a just society. So utilizing and preserving the vote is critical for moving our country forward. Get out there and vote, and help others if you can; after all, we’re all in this together 8) And we’re also a lot stronger that way…
