Tucson is fortunate enough to be home to a plethora of wonderful visual and auditory artists. But, none has captured the current zeitgeist quite like Lee Balan. In his brilliantly illustrated novel, The Trump Chronicles, Balan slings us forward into an even more dystopic version of Trump’s America, after he wins a second term (I threw up a little in my mouth as I finished that sentence).

You see, the stories are fictions written by Lee Balan upon the news of Trumps coronation in 2016. Using his mind’s-eye, Balan foretold events of absolute absurdity and profound moral depravity. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortuntely), his stories can’t even come close to the absolute wreckage that has been left in the wake of his first term. Can you even imagine a second term? Lee Balan has, and it’s not pretty.
