Southern Arizona’s only professional chamber choir and orchestra is located in Tucson
True Concord Voices and Orchestra received a nomination for Best Choral Performance for its first internationally released CD and another for best contemporary classical composition and they won both!
“What this means for (Tucson) is that they can take a lot of pride in knowing that something of such quality happened right here,” said Benjamin Nisbet, first violinist with True Concord Voices and Orchestra. “From the rehearsals, to the performances, to the actual recording of the record itself, everything happened here in Tucson. And I think that’s really spectacular. I think that once people in the community know that, they’re going to take an enormous amount of pride in it.”
