Meeting New Friends

Hello Mr. Ray,

My partner and I recently moved to the Tucson . Can you suggest a good way for us to make some new friends? We rarely go out to bars and clubs, but we enjoy spending time with friends at dinner parties, wine tastings, theater, etc.

Hi Dan,

Okay, there is a lot of info on the GayTucson.com site.

We have fun at the Catavinos Wine tasting on the first Wednesday of every month, so check the GayTucson.com calendar for info on that. Introduce yourself, I try to make it there each month with my partner. It is really fun.

Theater is definitely listed on the calendar as well.

G2H2 has a monthly event, also on the calendar, third Friday of the month. Usually 100+ people show up for socializing at a specific restaurant. Again, check the calendar.

Also on GayTucson.com is a groups and clubs page you may want to check out.

This Saturday is Tucson Gay Pride, usually about 7000 people. Stop by my booth, look for the GayTuson.com Sun banner up by the band shell, and say hi.
