Harvey Milk, American politician and the first openly gay person to be elected to public office is being honored with a postage stamp.
The US Postal service will honor Harvey Milk with a stamp in honor of his memory and his work towards gay and human rights. Milk was instrumental in the movement towards acceptance of all people in the late ’70’s. He will be the first openly gay LGBT politician to be featured on a postage stamp.
