Senior Pride is an amazing organization because it brings exciting authors and poets to our beautiful community. They are also active with the University of Arizona, Tucson Festival of Books and their annual “Words of Wisdom” poetry readings by LGBTQ elders.
Southern Arizona Senior Pride Donations Needed – Social Services
Southern Arizona Senior Pride is active online and most of all, out in our community.
The Southern Arizona Community Cares Program, another one of their recently launched initiatives, really shines. Volunteers in this program visit and/or call disabled or home-bound adults (55+).
These adults receive little to no contact from the Tucson LGBT community. Consequently, this leads to isolation and feelings of loneliness. This program looks to address this problem and in addition, move these caring and lovely members back into our community.
