Tucson, AZ – Tucson Pride, Inc. will be hosting the annual LGBT Pride Festival for the Southern Arizona LGBT Community on October 12th & 13th, 2012. This year’s events include:
- Thursday, Oct. 11, 7:00 pm – 4th Annual Multifaith Pride Service: “Love Wins” at Grace St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 2331 E Adams St.
- Friday, Oct. 12, 3:00 pm – Queertopia, a pool party at the host hotel Riverpark Inn, 350 South Freeway
- Saturday, Oct. 13, 11:00 am – Pride on Parade marches down 6th Ave., between 18th and 12th streets to Armory Park
- Saturday, Oct. 13, Noon – Pride in the Desert at Armory Park, 220 S 5th Ave.
- Saturday, Oct. 13, 6:15 pm – Mass-Commitment Ceremony at Armory Park
- Saturday, Oct. 13, 9:00 pm – The Official Pride After party: Illusion at Club Congress, 311 E Congress St.
The Grand Marshalls for this year’s parade are David and George Ruder, with their daughter, Marianna, the recipients of the Rainbow Build Home from Habitat for Humanity. There will also be a Youth Grand Marshall, Carly Frieders, a freshman from Walden Grove High School and GLSEN ambassador.
