Congrats to Tucson Pride and Pete King.
The Gay Pride Parade was the best ever and the Pink Party was a huge success. This was one of the best pride nights in Tucson history. Great idea combining the Parade and a pre-party (the Pink Party) with Second Saturday in Downtown Tucson.
The Pride Parade was the largest one ever and had a captive audience due to more GLBT attendance and the thousands of people already downtown for Second Saturday.
With such a great turn out, hopefully next year, more locally owned GLBT businesses will be encouraged to participate in the Parade.
Yay for the local gay bars.
These two events brought a lot of people out that normally stay in, gave the GLBT community a lot of exposure and most likely created extra business for our local gay bars.
A great ‘win win’ for everone.
