The holiday season is supposed to be a joyous time of abundance, but if you are like 1 in 6 people in America, you might not have enough food on the dinner table this Thanksgiving. This year, our amazing friends at G3 Tucson have come up with the perfect opportunity for us to give back with the G3 November 2018 Thanksgiving Food Drive!
G3 November 2018: Thanksgiving Food Drive, SAAF Food For Life
I know you really want to hear about how you can be a part of this incredible event, but before I dive into the details, please allow me to take a moment to recognize the Food for Life campaign and all the great work that the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation (SAAF) does in our Tucson and the surrounding cities and towns.
SAAF is a powerhouse in the service community. They offer an incredibly comprehensive menu of care services, including:
- Housing
- Support
- Anti-Violence / Bullying
- Food Insecurity
I’d like to highlight the last item and talk about their dedicated services to help with food insecurity. The SAAF Food for Life program delivers three meals each day to homebound clients all over the Old Pueblo. In fact, they delivered over 25,000 hot and tasty meals last year alone! It’s because of them that many Tusconans will have a Happy Thanksgiving.
G3 November 2018: Enter Thanksgiving Food Drive
G3 wanted to do something to support this fantastic organization, so they are throwing us a huge Thanksgiving Food Drive with that classic G3 flair. Here is your chance to make sure that the SAAF Food for Life program is able to continue in its incredible mission!
Here’s how you can help:
- Bring non-perishable food donations to the G3 Thanksgiving Food Drive
- Donate cash to SAAF with all donations going to purchase items for the local community food banks.
- Become a sponsor! SAAF and G3 have an extensive menu of items that need your sponsorship
