Q.  Dear Mom,
 
I have met a guy recently on a dating site and really, really like him.  We have so much in common and are similiar ages and have good careers. Well, it has been 3 months and he and I text everyday, but he only can go out once during the week and a Saturday or Sunday night……I am ready to be in a committed relationship and he is not wanting to yet…..any suggestions???  – Frustrated On Line.

First of all my dating experiences On Line, From Bars, WHEREVER and my gay son’s experiences ARE THE SAME!!!  When you meet someone from a dating site KEEP YOUR PROFILE ACTIVE until you totally are committed to this relationship and see that THEIR profile is not active!!!  Remember that when you get hired at a company there is usually a 90 day probationary period to see if your employment will be mutually a fit……apply that to dating!!!  People come from ALL aspects of life, still in love with an ex, not seriously wanting a relationship, wanting sex, just to meet friends……so, go slowly and be protective of YOU!!!  If they are not getting into a regular routine with you after 3 months, consider them a new friend and continue to meet others…….
