COVID has taken so much from us, social gatherings, trendy hairstyles, and so much more. But the thing I miss most in this COVID-induced hellscape is my favorite hour each month, Gay Happy Hour. Thankfully, as vaccination rates continue to climb in our Old Pueblo, G3 is Back and Better Than Ever! Keep reading to learn everything you need to know about May 2021 G3!
G3 Is Back
That’s right, this is the first G3 in over a year! G3 has been hibernating, waiting for just the right time and place to make it’s triumphant re-emergence. That time is Friday, May 21st from 5 – 9pm and that place is the brand-new Doubletree by Hilton at the Tucson Convention Center. Not only will you get a posh party at the newest Downtown Tucson hotspot, but we also get to open the place. This is gonna be the biggest G3 yet!
Better Than Ever
I know my longtime readers are well-versed in all things G3, but let’s do a quick recap as it has been quite some time. G3 is Tucson’s only Gay and Lesbian Happy Hour, held monthly at a different location each time. There is a nominal entry fee of $9, which includes your first cocktail and goes to cover the costs associated with the venue.
Everyone of age (21+) is encouraged to attend regardless of gender orientation or identity, they are a welcoming group that invites you to come as you are. As always, the facility is ADA compliant and they are happy to accommodate any special needs. Free parking is available at the location and you can simply stay at the hotel or catch an Uber home if you have too much fun.
This is the first of many great Gay and Lesbian Happy Hours that will come to Tucson in the approaching months. Let’s have a huge turnout to tell the entire team at G3 Tucson how much we have missed them! Friday the 21st at the Doubletree – Tucson Convention Center, be there by 5pm and stay late for the best time you’ve had all year!

Have a fun day,
