We already know how amazing Tucson is, but one of the main missions of this website is to tell the rest of the world about our amazing community. It seems the word is already out, as Tucson receives numerous gay accolades and LGBT awards. In fact, we were recently awarded a coveted spot on Top 10 Gaycation Travel Destination list!
What is the Top 10 Gaycation Travel Destination List?
For years, the awesome editorial staff at LGBT Outfitters has been scouring the globe and preparing a list of the Top 10 awesome vacation destinations for LGBT singles and couples. With other award winners like Nice, France and Sao Paulo, Brazil, you can see the competition is steep. Thanks to our incredibly active community and LGBT-friendly local regulations, Tucson was able to crack this list!
Why is Tucson a Top 10 Gaycation Travel Destination?
It appears that Tucson won because of it’s bevy of awesome activities for the LGBT community. From LGBT Outfitters:

There is just too much to do in Tucson to even begin! Start with out GayTucson Event Calendar; it is just chock full of both special events and regular meetings. There is always something to do or some cause that could use your talents and efforts.
We also have a lot of fun in Tucson! From the raucous monthly G3 to the many wonderful yearly events thrown by our friends at SAAF, TIHAN and others, there is never a shortage of things to do in Tucson for the gay community.
Tucson is a wonderful city, with a rich cultural heritage and fantastic natural resources. LGBT Outfitters was so impressed by our national parks and “cactus-strewn” desert landscapes that they mentioned our natural wonder during the award proclamation.
Finally, they gave a shoutout to the Southwest’s Premier (who knew?) LGBT Bar and Dance Club, IBT’s! We are all familiar with this iconic establishment, but did you know that IBT’s is known far and wide for it’s excellent drag shows? Just ask LGBT Outfitters!
