I have some very exciting news to share!! This past Memorial Day will forever be the best in my life. I was awakened by a phone call from my sister at about 10am.
I have stayed up most of the night going through old clothes and what not to give to Goodwill, so when she called I was kinda grumpy, and by kinda grumpy..I mean really bitchy. Same thing, right! But the words that came out of her mouth totally got my full attention.
“I’m pregnant!! Your going to be a Tio (uncle)!!”
I was instantly happy and thrilled. I wanted to instantly tell all my friends and family on Facebook, but my sister forbid me from telling anyone else before she told them first. Makes sense, that is one of those important things you should be told instead of reading that in someone’s status.
So I told her I would give her sometime and tell her make her rounds, calls and texts. So, I decided that today, her time was up. Since I can’t share on Facebook. I will share with all of you.
I’m very happy for several reasons. Firstly, I get to love, protect and nurture a future family member. Secondly, I get my parents off my back to produce their wanted-grandchildren. Yes, they have been pressuring EVEN me for that. I always direct them to their two other hetero children for that. But now that pressure is off me and I’m feelings great. By the way, I’ve been out to my parent’s since I was 16. So these past conversations with the parentals have both been entertaining and concerning. More on that, later.
So since the life-changing news, I have been pondering what my life will be like now with this soon to be nephew or niece. I will have be able to pass on my worldy knowledge of how to punch a great left hook, look and find the greatest sales both in the malls and online, the distinctive essential difference between PRADA and GUCCI, and why Paris Hilton is now and always will be the anti-christ.
I can’t wait to be there to take the first halloween pictures, see that first X-mas stocking with their name on it. Use those beautiful baby eyes to attract the hot singles that will come flocking to pinch those cheeks. This is be awesome.
Oh the joys that babies bring to families!! CAN’T WAIT!!!
